General Instructions
• The Textbook Editions Guide for the academic year is issued by the Book Production Centre
and Teaching Aids at the Directorate General for Curriculum Development.
The Teaching Content Plan has been approved by the Directorate General of Curriculum
Development.
• Teachers should use the Teacher’s Book as this is designed to help and guide them in teach-
ing the curricula’s tasks and activities. The Teacher’s Book includes the aims and objec-
tives of the curriculum. It also contains the pedagogical aspects and strategies for effective
language teaching. In addition, all the concepts, skills, vocabulary, and grammar points are
included in each unit.
• Teachers should adopt a variety of teaching methods that are compatible with the require-
ments needed to implement the curricula.
• Teachers should use the educational aids that accompany the curricula to achieve the curric-
ula’s objectives as this will enable students to achieve the goals and communicate what has
been learnt in an easy and clear manner.
• Teachers should read the Student Assessment Handbook (SAH) for the classes they are
assigned to teach, i.e., SAH for (grades 1-4), SAH for (grades 5-10) and SAH for (grades 11-
12).
• Teachers should activate the Learning Resource Centres (LRC) in the schools to enhance the
teaching and learning environment.
• Teachers should use the educational aids that accompany the curricula to achieve the curric-
ula’s objectives as this will enable students to achieve the goals and communicate what has
been learnt in an easy and clear manner.
