Introduction
Welcome to this new school year after what we hope has been a peaceful
and enjoyable summer holiday.
To help deliver the most effective teaching programme, the Foreign
Languages Section has compiled this newsletter for you. Please read it
carefully so that you may get the best out of the Ministry of Education
English language teaching materials. Your Senior Teacher, Supervisor,
and the Teacher Trainer in your governorate can provide further assistance
if required.
The aim of this newsletter is to clarify the most important developments
in the English Language Curriculum and to highlight some aspects that
should be considered while teaching it. The newsletter contains:
• General Instructions
• Approved textbooks and the number of classes per week.
• Suggested teaching content plan
● The plan prepared for single-shift schools
● The plan prepared for double-shift schools
• Appendices related to the subject
• List of approved teaching aids for Cycle One & Cycle Two classes
