Unit 3 a short story

Think about these things:
• Where does the story take place?
• Who is in your story? Giving directions in a building:
• What happens at the beginning? It’s upstairs/downstairs. It’s on the left/right.
• What happens in the middle? It’s the (fi rst) door on the (right).
• What happens at the end? It’s on the ground/fi rst/second fl oor.
Go through the door/straight on/along the
corridor/around the corner.
Take the lift/escalator (to the fi rst fl oor).

Learning club 1

Turn left/right.
Take the fi rst/second/third on the left/right.
Go straight on/along the road/
through the gate/around the fi re station/
past the college/over the bridge/
across the square.
