3 2.5 Put the pictures in the correct order. Then listen and check.

4 Retell Faisal’s story about his dad. Write the past tense of the verbs in brackets.

Thirty years ago, when he (1) was (be) a child, Faisal’s dad (2) (go)
to the beach with his family. He (3) (play) with his sister and they
(4) (eat) ice creams. Then he (5) (go) swimming in the sea.
Suddenly he (6) (start) moving out to sea. He (7) (try) to swim
back to the beach, but he was a long way out when the lifeguards on the beach
(8) (come) to get him on their surfboards. Now Faisal is always very careful
and he swims near the beach and near his family!
